What
The SDK lets programs run Claude Code and read its messages. The message format now has an optional field, refused_message_id, marked for internal use. It is only filled in on the message that reports a refusal, and it holds the id the API gave the refused response.
Why
Programs using the SDK can match a refusal to the API response it came from.
