What
Claude Code's search for PowerShell (the Windows command shell) used to read your system's settings directly. It can now be handed the places to look: the search path, Program Files, local app data, your user profile and the system root. The result is also remembered so it is not looked up again.
Why
This is mostly an internal rework with little visible change to how PowerShell is found.
