What

Claude Code has a helper that runs git ls-remote, a git command that asks a remote repository which branches and tags it has. The helper can now run in a different way: inside a temporary folder and without being attached to your terminal window. Before, it always ran one fixed way.

Why

A git command that is not attached to your terminal has no way to stop and wait there for input. This is meant to make git operations less likely to hang.
