What
The artifact tool saves and publishes files Claude produces. Two changes concern its root parameter, plus one note on MCP results.
- With
multiFileOn, the tool's description mentions only files, where before it mentioned files and root.
- Combining
edits with root is no longer an error. Only combining edits with files is still refused, since edits changes only the file at file_path.
- The description of MCP tool results now says the content is processed normally unless the request set
result_not_for_model.
Why
A publish request that uses edits together with root now goes through instead of failing.
