What
Zod is a library Claude Code includes to check that data has the expected shape. The included copy has been updated. It adds a check for IBAN bank account numbers, along with other new helpers, and locks its exported pieces so they cannot be modified.
Some checks behave differently:
Object checks can stop at the first problem when asked to
Object checks treat keys that have default values differently
Checks that pick between several shapes by a key field now fail with "Ambiguous discriminator value" when the value matches more than one shape
Why
This is mostly an internal change. You may notice it only if a value is checked differently, for example a new ambiguous-value error.
