What
Claude Code keeps track of files that change while you work and reads them again. It now counts how each of its comparisons of a changed file ended. These counts (touchCompare, also written touch_compare) are recorded with its timing information. The outcomes include:
same
differs
nlink
oversize
Separately, the message shown when settingsPrime is disabled now says "the raw path serves from the next reset". Before, it said only "raw path serves".
Why
Nothing you do changes. The counts record how often a changed file turned out to be the same, different, or too large to compare. The reworded message says the fallback takes effect from the next reset rather than at once.
