What

Claude Code checks that your OAuth token, the token from signing in to your account, is still valid. That check can now be retried. If it fails in a way that can be retried, Claude Code waits a set time and tries again, through a list of waits. The failure is logged only after the retries are used up. Before, a single failed check was logged straight away.

Why

A brief, passing problem while checking your sign-in is less likely to end in a failure.
