What

The background tasks list shows work that Claude Code is doing out of view, such as agents (helpers that carry out part of a task on their own). Pressing stop on a row for some local agents now does something, where before it had no handling for them. When a task is stopped by something other than you, and the task is in a certain state, it is now dismissed from the list.

Why

The stop key on certain agent rows in the background tasks list now has an effect.
