Unclear Nothing says what creates a withdrawn-attachment entry, so it is unclear whether a user can trigger this or it only happens on its own.
What
Claude Code now keeps a list of withdrawn attachments. Each entry names which images to drop from a message, and Claude Code removes them only when the entry matches the number of images that message holds.
Why
Images can now be removed from the transcript (the saved record of the conversation) after they were attached, instead of staying there for the rest of the session.
