What
The sandbox is the restricted environment Claude Code can run commands in. It now blocks more writes:
- the dev-mods folder under Claude Code's configuration folder, which commands can read but not change
- more files next to the remote settings file
If the dev-mods path is not a plain folder, Claude Code warns and blocks it as it is.
Why
Commands running in the sandbox cannot change plugin mods or the files around the remote settings.
