What

Starting a line with ! runs it as a shell command directly. You can queue lines while Claude Code is busy. When your terminal is attached to a remote session, queued ! lines are now skipped, and a warning says the command did not run because the terminal is attached to a remote session. The other queued prompts still run.

Why

This stops a remote session from running shell commands on your local machine. Run such commands yourself once you are no longer attached.
