What

Claude Code now records usage events when plugins that use function hooks load, and how many are active on the first turn. Plugins are add-on packages that extend Claude Code, and function hooks are a way for them to run code inside it.

Usage data sent from Claude Code is also now rewritten to remove the model name when the plugin storage passes a certain check. Before, this removal applied under a single remote setting only.
