Unclear Nothing shows when a hold is used, so it is unclear when queued messages are actually held back.
What
Claude Code keeps a queue of messages and commands that are waiting to run. Some of those items can now be held back. Items that are held back no longer count when Claude Code checks whether you are waiting on something, and they go back to normal when the hold ends. Only one hold can be active at a time.
Why
This changes how queued input is ordered and treated while a hold is in place.
