What
The diff pane is the view that shows the changes Claude Code proposes to a file. Opening it used to report only one of two results: the pane was placed or it was not. It now reports one of three:
Withdrawn
Awaited
Placed
When the result is "awaited", Claude Code waits until the pane has actually appeared on screen before treating it as shown.
Why
Some of the programs that host Claude Code take a moment to open the diff pane. In those programs, this change should stop the pane from being treated as shown before it is really on screen.
