What
A slash command is a command you type starting with /. Two changes affect how they behave in the prompt:
/btw, which asks a side question about the current session without adding it to the conversation, is now markedkeepsScrollPosition. Asking a side question should not move your place in the main conversation.- Commands that open a dialog and carry
keepsScrollPositionno longer jump the view back to the bottom when you submit them. - Argument completions, the suggestions shown for what to type after a command name, no longer make typing wait. If they are slow to arrive, out-of-date suggestions are cleared and the new ones appear once ready. Before, Claude Code waited for the suggestions directly.
Why
The prompt should feel more responsive while you type a command. You can also ask a quick side question without losing your place in a long conversation.
