Unclear Which names are checked against these rules is not stated.
What
Claude Code's checks for cleaning and validating names now reject:
- unusual space characters
- invisible characters
- broken sequences of combining marks or Korean letter parts
Plain ASCII names, meaning ordinary English letters, digits and symbols, skip the slower checks.
Why
This makes it harder for a name to hide characters that look harmless but are not.
