What

When the VS Code extension starts, Claude Code builds a set of feature settings for it. The remote setting that controls the promo claim link, including whether the link carries your organization, is no longer read there, and whatever it added to the extension's settings is gone.

Claude Code still reads the same setting in other places, including the check for whether the claim link should include your organization.

Why

This setting is sent per account by Anthropic's servers. Accounts that had it may see the VS Code extension behave differently from before.
