What
MCP servers are add-on programs that give Claude extra tools. Claude Code now lists them by scope, keeps plugin MCP servers in their own list, and has a new internal operation, CloseProjectMcpServers, that closes the MCP servers belonging to a project and records that they are closed.
Why
This is internal plumbing. Nothing in it describes a new command or a visible change for someone using Claude Code.
