What
Some organizations route Claude Code through a gateway, which is a server that sits between Claude Code and the AI model and can enforce the organization's own rules. Claude Code now has a warning saying that rules set on that gateway, such as blocked commands, may not apply. The reason it gives is that Claude Code doesn't take settings from that gateway.
Why
The notice is about security. If you or your organization expect gateway rules to limit what Claude Code can do, this warning tells you that those limits may not be in force.
