Unclear Whether this memory consolidation step runs for any given user is not known.

What

Claude Code can have the model tidy up and consolidate its saved memory. The instructions for that step no longer tell it to list the logs/ folder or read the dated session logs inside it, which used to be its main source. It now reviews recent entries in a sessions/ folder, if that folder exists.

Why

This changes what the model looks at when it consolidates memory.
