What
MCP servers are outside programs that give Claude extra tools, and they can send a notice when their tool list changes. Claude Code now resets its state before handling each such notice. For some servers it also fetches the tool list again as soon as it starts listening for these notices. Before, it did neither.
Why
The tools Claude sees from an MCP server may stay up to date more reliably.
