What

The usage data Claude Code sends about a session now includes three more facts about your git working folder (the files of a project tracked by git) at the moment the session started:

  • whether it had no uncommitted changes
  • how many tracked files were changed
  • how many files were untracked, meaning git was not yet tracking them
Why

This adds information about the state of your project's files to the usage data Claude Code collects. Only counts are listed, not file names.
