Rewinding returns a conversation to an earlier point. Two things change afterwards:
- When Claude Code restores what it knew about files you had read, it now keeps track of the host, the machine or app the session runs on.
- If no carried-over prompt is waiting to be sent, Claude Code now cancels pending work.
