What

Plugins can build their own on-screen controls, and a Button is one of them. A Button used to take only one plain piece of text as its label, or nothing. It can now contain plain strings and Text elements, which are pieces of text that can be styled. These are drawn together as one pressable button, in place of the label.

  • Only strings and Text elements are allowed inside a Button. Anything else is rejected with an error.
  • A Button with content inside it must still have a label or a key. The label then names the control.
Why

Plugin authors can now put styled text inside a button instead of being limited to a plain label.
