Unclear It is not clear whether Claude Code now downloads only that path or still downloads the whole repository.
What
A plugin marketplace is a catalogue of add-ons for Claude Code that you can install from. When you add one that lives in a GitHub repository (fetched over HTTPS) or in any other git repository, Claude Code makes a copy of that repository on your machine. The step that makes this copy now also receives the path value from the marketplace's source settings. Before this change, that step received no path.
Why
The change applies only to marketplaces that point at a particular location inside a repository. For those, the download step now has the path available, where before it did not.
