What
On macOS, Claude Code keeps a small helper app, ClaudeCode.app, which carries its own text explaining microphone use for voice dictation. The claude program inside it used to be a hard link, a second name pointing at the same file as the running install. It is now copied to a temporary place and then moved into position in one step.
The rule for when the helper app is set up has also changed, and no longer depends only on where the running program is installed.
Why
This keeps the identity macOS shows in permission prompts from breaking when Claude Code is updated.
