What
Claude Code gives Claude a snapshot of your git status at the start of a session. It can now take that snapshot from a pinned linked worktree (a second checkout of the same repository in another folder) instead of always using the current folder. For that run it turns off git filter drivers (extra programs git can run on files) and reads the branch name directly from git's own data.
Why
This makes the status safer and more accurate when the session works in a separate worktree.
