Unclear Something not identified decides whether the survey can stay open, so whether typing over it always dismisses it is not settled.

What

The short feedback survey Claude Code sometimes shows during a session has changed:

  • Typing over it: if you start typing while the survey is showing, the survey is dropped.
  • Undo hint: the "Feedback:" row only shows the Esc undo hint, and only responds to Esc, when there is something to undo.
  • Rating method: the survey records how you rated, including by a key combination.
  • Extra tracking: it now reports when it was typed over or undone (typed_over and undone), how long it had been showing, and whether it stayed on screen.
Why

The survey gets out of the way when you just want to keep typing, and the usage reports about it carry more detail.
