The desktop app's enterprise settings for connecting to Microsoft Foundry now include a base URL, inferenceFoundryBaseUrl. Before, there was no way to set one there. Claude Code sessions started from the app receive it as ANTHROPIC_FOUNDRY_BASE_URL.
Amazon Bedrock settings also gain an option for an external identity provider (a separate sign-in service), and that option requires a base URL to be set.
Why
Organizations can now send their Foundry traffic through a gateway of their own by setting it once in the desktop app.
