Unclear Which places Claude Code runs in turn this removal on is not stated.
What
When you send feedback or a bug report, for example with /feedback, Claude Code can include a transcript, meaning a record of the conversation. It now removes some parts of that transcript first, depending on where Claude Code is running:
Conversation summaries made when a long conversation was compacted, meaning shortened by summarising earlier parts, are replaced with the text "[conversation summary withheld: it may include account memory]"
Lines that cannot be read are withheld
Lines that store raw request data are withheld
Before, transcripts were sent without this removal.
Why
This changes what is uploaded when you send feedback, and keeps summaries that may contain remembered account information out of the report.
The entry above is what we published on the day. These lines were added later, as Anthropic's own pages caught up, and they sit beside the original rather than replacing it.
Confirmed sinceAnthropic's documentation has since written up /feedback, on Claude Code changelog.* Fixed `/feedback` returning to the drafts list after Ctrl+O or Ctrl+Z while a report was sending, leaving the send impossible to cancelchangelogsee the edit
