What
When a cloud environment is recreated, Claude Code shows a notice about which of your local settings carried over. It has a new case saying that any user settings forwarded from your machine are not in force, naming deny and ask rules, CLAUDE.md and preferences among them.
The list of reasons a rule was dropped now also includes looking like a credential, alongside being too long, too many, or not in a plain form. Restoring settings also now counts credential rules and files that were left out.
Why
If you use cloud sessions, you get a clearer message about which of your local settings did not carry over, including your safety rules.
