What
In a remote session (Claude Code running on another machine and streaming its progress back to you), updates arrive as a stream of small events. When a short-lived event is too large, Claude Code now simply drops it and logs that it did so.
Before, if the oversized event was the one that starts a new message, Claude Code tried sending it again with some of its content trimmed. That fallback is gone.
Why
Remote-session streaming loses a fallback. An oversized start-of-message update that used to get through in trimmed form is now lost.
