What
A subagent is a helper Claude that Claude Code starts to handle part of the work, and it comes in different types. Background tasks in the task list now store which subagent type runs them. When a task reports that it has started, the type stored earlier is kept rather than lost. Before, no subagent type was stored.
Why
This lets displays of background tasks show what kind of agent each one is.
