Unclear Whether the artifact type catalog is switched on, and the full set of conditions for automatic approval, is not known.

What

When Claude publishes an artifact by starting from an artifact type, Claude Code can now approve the action automatically instead of asking you. This only happens when several conditions hold, among them:

  • you are not in plan mode, the mode where Claude plans before making changes
  • no existing rule says this action should ask you first

The quickstart text for artifacts also gains a hint: for a short animation or video to watch, such as an animated explainer, a walkthrough or demo video, or a motion graphic, start from a motion type.

Why

You should see fewer permission prompts when Claude creates artifacts from a type.
