What
Skills are packaged instructions Claude Code can use. Skills fetched from the server have changed in a few ways:
Skill sync can now read Anthropic skill zip files from a folder mounted from the host machine at /mnt/skills, checking device, size, modification time and that the file really is a zip. It records which kinds of mounts it found.
The zip check on downloaded skills now uses a shared helper instead of a hard-coded test of the first two bytes.
A shared rule now decides which dynamically added skills get removed.
Server skills now read the user_invocable and disable_model_invocation fields and carry them as userInvocable and disableModelInvocation. Before, every server skill was fixed as callable by you and by the model.
Why
A skill defined on the server can now be hidden from the model or from the slash-command menu, as its settings say. Skills already present on a mounted folder can be used without downloading them.
