What
Policy limits are the restrictions an organization sets on how Claude Code may be used. Claude Code can now start fetching them early, before they are needed, and use that early result.
The fetch can also retry, logging a line such as "Policy limits: Retry 1/3 after 500ms" when it does. The record of whether a sign-in token refresh has been tried is now renewed after a recovery rather than simply reset.

Fetching early is meant to make your organization's policy load faster when Claude Code starts.
