A plugin is an add-on that extends Claude Code. Organizations can block plugins. When a plugin is blocked by your organization, Claude Code now always also blocks it by its name. Before, the name block was only added in some cases, such as when the plugin could not be fully identified.
The warning text changed to say that the plugin directory "blocks it by name only".
Why
The organization's block is stricter. Other copies of a blocked plugin that share its name are caught, rather than only the exact one that was identified.
