What
Control requests are messages between Claude Code and a program driving it, such as an SDK app, for example to ask permission before a tool runs. When one of these requests is settled under a different id than the one its reply carries, Claude Code now notifies a listener that has registered for this. The notice cancelling a control request is only sent once Claude Code's outgoing channel has ended.
Why
This affects how SDK and remote apps keep track of permission prompts and their answers.
