What
A subagent is a helper that Claude Code starts to work on part of a task, and each one keeps its own transcript, a record of what it did. When Claude Code loads these transcripts for a session, it now starts reading all of them at once. Before, the work went through a helper that limited how many ran together.
If one transcript fails to load, it is still skipped and the others carry on.
Why
In a session that used many subagents, Claude Code now opens many files at the same moment. That can be faster, but it uses more resources in one burst.
