Terminal UIArea: what it touches
Bug FixesKind: in v2.1.290,
Bug FixesSection of the release
What
When Claude Code breaks long lines of text to fit your terminal, it now treats emoji and characters built from several combined marks separately. These used to be measured at the wrong width, which could make lines break in the wrong place. Before, the text went straight to the wrapping routine with no special handling.
Why
Lines that contain emoji or accented and combined characters should wrap more neatly in the terminal.
