Unclear It is not clear what the host flag is or what sets it.

What

When Claude Code decides permissions automatically, it records data about those decisions. That data now includes a field called unattended_by_host_flag. An unattended session is one running with nobody present to answer permission prompts. The field is filled in only when the unattended setting is own_record.

Why

The field shows whether a flag set by the host program, rather than you, made the session unattended.
