What
A transcript is the saved record of a conversation. When Claude Code reads one, for example when you resume a session, it used to read the whole file in one go and the interface could not respond until it finished. It now pauses at regular points during the read so the interface can keep working.
Two smaller changes come with this:
A fully loaded conversation now also carries its file snapshots, the saved copies of files that were edited.
A load that fails after using up all its retries is now reported as load_exhausted.
Why
The interface stays more responsive while a large session is being resumed.
