Unclear What the generated names are used for is not known.
Claude Code has a new way to generate random names. It picks 5 characters from a fixed alphabet. If the result contains any piece of text from a banned list, it tries again, up to 10 times. The previous generator is still used when the server switch for this feature is off. If the server sends no value at all, the code falls back to the new generator.
Generated names should no longer accidentally spell out unwanted words.
