What
When your settings file is refused, the status line now gives one of two messages:
- "only the deny and ask rules from your settings file could be applied", when the file contains permission rules.
- "settings could not be applied", otherwise.
The check also now reads the correct value when deciding whether settings were refused.
Why
You can tell whether your settings were ignored entirely or whether your deny and ask rules, the rules that block actions or make Claude ask first, still took effect.
