Unclear Which errors go through this check is not known.
What
When a service returns an error with a message attached, Claude Code now checks that message before showing it. It shows the message only if it is one plain line of no more than 1,024 characters (counted as UTF-16 units). Otherwise Claude Code leaves the message out of the error it shows, logs that it did so, and records an event about it.
Why
Long or multi-line text from a server can no longer flood your terminal or mess up its display.
