Unclear It is not clear whether commands already running are still cancelled, or which systems the new path checks apply to.

What

Remote tool serving lets a cloud session run commands on your computer. Its changes:

  • Off-switch wording: the emergency off-switch message now says no new command is accepted until it is turned back on. Before, it said any command a cloud session was running on this computer was cancelled.
  • Mount table: the list of mounted drives and folders is now read from /proc/self/mountinfo.
  • Special links: paths through special links under /proc and /dev/fd are rejected.
  • Folder aliases: aliases such as /bin for /usr/bin are treated as the same place.
Why

The off-switch now describes stopping new commands rather than cancelling running ones. The stricter path checks make it harder for a remote command to reach files through indirect routes.
