Unclear Exactly which names the new registered-name check rejects is not clear.

What

A marketplace is a catalogue you can install Claude Code plugins from. When you add one hosted on GitHub, Claude Code now runs an additional check against marketplaces already registered. It can catch a name that matches an existing marketplace once upper and lower case are ignored. If the name is already taken, the error can now include the name you requested.

When Claude Code looks up a plugin and an entry in another marketplace also matches, it now records which entry it preferred over the other.

Why

This affects what happens when two marketplaces or two plugins could be confused with each other, during both adding and installing.
