What

Pressing the left arrow key (←) can move running work into the background, after a hint asks you to confirm. Claude Code now looks at how long it has been since your previous press. If the confirming press arrives within a short threshold while Claude Code is still waiting on a tool, the press is ignored. Claude Code keeps waiting and notes this in its debug log. Before, only the gap between presses was checked.

Why

A second press that lands too soon no longer sends work to the background by accident.
