What

Claude Code holds a list of GitHub-related web domains. It includes:

  • githubusercontent.com
  • ghcr.io
  • github.dev
  • github.io

The list has other GitHub domains as well. Separately, a gitignore pattern that starts with / is no longer treated as a pattern made of a single path segment. A gitignore pattern is a line in a .gitignore file that tells git which files to leave out.

Why

The domain list may affect which GitHub addresses Claude Code trusts. The gitignore change may affect which files count as ignored when a pattern begins with a slash.
