Unclear How often the host consent is set to forward settings is not known.
What
Attaching connects claude to a session running remotely in the cloud. This now works differently:
- Your home settings can be sent again on attach, but only when the host's consent is set to forward them.
- Attaching is refused if copies of the settings could not be kept beside a helper. The message reads "cloud attach refused: the copies of the settings could not be kept beside a helper", with the reason
settings_not_kept. - The remote session's caps are saved and restored.
- Open subagent requests, and whoever asked them, are carried into the attached session. A subagent is a helper agent the main one hands work to.
Why
This changes what claude does when you attach to a cloud session, including a new case where attaching is refused.
